July 6 2016

Well, I finally did it. After years of trying to get my publisher to change my covers, I ended our relationship and have gone out on my own. I am now an independant author!

JULY 8, 2016:  GETTING CLOSER to finishing KEEPING HOPE ALIVE! But I swear if Donald Trump becomes the president, I'm going to kill all my characters off  and go into hiding!

August 2 2015: WELL, it looks like KEEPING HOPE ALIVE the 4th book of the series will be delayed even longer than I imagined.

I thought I was having trouble with the creative side and I just wasn't up to writing, but now my tennis elbow is going to need surgery. I have been suffering for about 8 months in pain and typing seems to aggravate it.  Many friends and family have suggested I dicate the story by using applications such as DRAGON but it may be hard to understand, but my words really do come from my fingers typing on the key board, not by talking...I know that may be strange sounding to most of you, but that's how it is. :)

The surgery is outpatient, but under general anesthesia. The recovery can take up to 9 months.. SO WISH ME LUCK!!

IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH, DO NOT WATCH!!  Then again, if you read my novels, I think you can handle it.

~ Barnes & Noble Reader Reviews
The quiet town of Fallsburg, New York will soon experience a most ghastly murder.
Found in the woods outside of town lies the broken body of a local teenage girl, and
identifying the remains could be a problem—
because the victim’s face is missing.
Detectives Jean Whitley and Marty Keal are quickly called in to handle, what
appears to be, an isolated homicide case.
Until…another murder is committed, and the same modus operandi is used.
As Detectives Whitley and Keal pursue the crazed serial killer, Detective Whitley discovers a disheartening connection
between her own daughter and the female victims—
a connection that could strike too close to home…
“Author Dawn Kopman Whidden wields a remarkable gift for words and an amazing skill that keeps the mystery hidden
until the very…last…page,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Packed with credible facts and
plausible crimes, Faceless: A Mystery, could be peeled from the cover of a true crime magazine.
Author Dawn Whidden is a native New Yorker and a 1976 graduate of Queensboro Community College. Currently
retired, Ms. Whidden and her husband reside in the small farming community of Bell, Florida with their adopted dog,
