BANNED IN BELL!
For the past 2 years I have been selling my books at a local thrift store in my northwestern Florida town of Bell.
I have donated all of the profits to that store which is a ministry for those with addictions of alcohol or drugs and in need of help.
On several occassions the owner of the store told me that there have been an occassional person who complained about them carrying the book because of the cover of A CHILD IS TORN, but she told them I donate all the profits and was going to continue carrying it.
Well the other day one of the employees was told to tell me that they will not be carrying the books any longer because it is not appropriate for a Christian store.
The book is not pornographic. It is a story of love and tragedy and is a lot less violent then most of the television shows that air during prime time.
So in essence, someone took it upon themselves to BAN the sale of my book. I am shocked and hurt that someone could deliberately hurt me and my future readers.
